a moment's lively echo of summer bliss, transforming perfection into stormy encounter.
It was

The tender heart of Summer.
All living grew rich
With color, scent
Transformed.

I,

A self-proclaimed bronze god
Of youthful vigor
And sun-bleached hair sat with
Closed lidded eyes in cool thought.

Unaware

Clouded sky
Soon came hurling
Lightning groaning its thunder
To pelt my life asunder.

A harvest

Of rain
Jeweled, scented, power,
Grew mad with passion
Changing me into a shiver.

Wild

Nature teaches the strong
To remember their place,
Worship a world larger than self,
uncivilized by tamed reason's reach.
