A part of something I don't want to be.
It is so exhausting to bear witness.
And it certainly burns to know I am helpless.
If I am to be gone today,
What will I miss the most?
Perhaps the blues of the oceans.
Or maybe the greens and browns of these lands.
But I am already missing them.
Because they are being destroyed every second.
Everywhere I see is greed.
Human nature this is.
Live with an open heart- they say,
Embrace of how we are,
And life will get easy.
How though,
Accepting the atrocity of this human race.
Furthermore,
I am a part of it.
