A poem written by me
It's funny how much a picture can hide

Disguising emotions

Wrapped in your heart shaped lies

You'd never see the bitter tears once cried

or the puffiness that's disappeared from their eye's

The pain that lurks deep beneath the surface

The feelings they feel

That make them feel worthless

Helplessness disguised with a smile

Perfect poses executed with guile

Above the tempest of fear and resentment

are coated clouds of joy and contentment

Masking the truth with a status update

Aiming to prove that everything is great

When all the while the thunder roars

No bandage big enough

To hide the sores.......

The scars internally

Maybe outwardly too

are only visible to the ones who knew

That behind every picture

Are human beings with complex emotions

And confusing feelings

Not everything is black or white

Or able to be seen

Sometimes a picture is more than what it seems
