Broken home.
Slipping farther away.
Who am I?
To believe in change?
When change won’t come.

Every day I hear
The same old words.
You say,
“Things will get better”.

Yet, they never do.
Do they?
No matter what you
Want us to think.

You hate him, right?
At least, that’s what
You said.
“He’s not worth it”.

He hates you, right?
There isn’t any love
Between you two.
That’s what we see.

Why do you stay
Then? For children?
It hurts us more
Than you may believe.

Slipping farther away.
Who are we to believe
In change?
When you never will.
