A poem about the consequences of one's actions and treatment of others
|Of all the things that I despise,
Topping the list is secrets and lies.
Replace your silver tongue inside,
It's all over your face when you've lied.
Words are spoken, feelings hurt,
Dragging names through the dirt.
I see it when you manipulate,
Turning good itentions into hate.
Friends abandon you, disappear.
You carry on with no remorse or fear.
Yet one day you'll be alone,
You did this all on your own.
That's how you'll stay until you're done,
Reminiscing about your years of fun.
Your actions now have consequence,
You'll learn one day; it makes sense.
Treat others how you want to feel,
Interactions that are warm and real.
Stop playing games, telling lies,
Make real connections, lifelong ties.
I tell you this because I care,
But carry on and I won't be there.
