Sometimes the aged just want to get it over with.
All dead and gone
The joy of the song
I wonder why I still go on

His epic tale spun
The hero's lost or won
Either way his fight is done

So many years of loving
So many tears of pain
Now lonely nights staring at the fire
Listening to the rain

All dead and gone
All the rights and wrongs
I wonder why I still go on

All sad and cold
I'm tired and old
The ending comes
Who will remember
When my story's finally told

All cold and dark
In my home and heart
I wonder where the light has gone?

Just another day
With nothing more to say
I watch the birthing dawn

G. Gabriel
