unseen sunbeam
Admiration, blinded to father,
appreciation, deafened for mother,
approbation, deadened to one another...

Cherish the dimming light of the gorgeous, deep red sunset...
An abundance of pleasure filling the evening sky, a visual reminder...
A striking, abstract reflection, mirroring all that pulses deep within...
A symbolic manifestation of life, refraction...
Contracting, yet never collapsing...
And before invading, prevailing,
it's always, just waning, never straining...
But, mother's complaining
about the human staining...
As our planet's cascading,
our traits just keep on fading...
