Seven

Harry counted the pills in his hand. Two metformin for the diabetes, an aspirin to thin the blood, one atenolol as a beta blocker, the important ones. Then there was a hydrochlorowhatsit as a diuretic, iron for his anemia and B12 to help absorb the iron. That was seven in all.

Seven that might be keeping him alive. Or might not. Maybe it was time to see. He dropped them into the bowl and flushed.
