extreme expectations
There he proudly stood
All dressed in white
Making me want him
Just for spite

He was too good
For most anything
Too good for me
I heard him singing,

"If you really love me,
Just set me free!
I can only hurt you
If you love me.

You say you still love me?
Ignore my many faults!
I'll kick you when you're down
And I'll tear down your walls!"

He proceeded to attack me
With words so loving kind.
As I finally lay dying
I prayed he'd still be mine.
