heaven on earth. if it is anywhere, it is here, it is here. (Mother India)
A drop of sweat
trickles down my face
I feel my shirt and soul wet
I feel on my face an intent gaze

droplets escape from its nurturer
a few more follow
still reluctant to separate from mother
enlightened by their presence, I bow

those tiny little diamonds
shower on earth with pleasure
give life to garlands
the most precious treasure

they shimmer and shine
the clouds sway away
I feel no presence except mine
the road to heaven itself lay

I look around myself
there exists heaven on earth
I believe in you and thyself
you cradle the life giving hearth

I see the lotus bloom
the butterfly struggles
to break from the cocoon
and it aches me to see its troubles

I move ahead
to help the little creature
but a voice so tempting I heard
it was my preacher

"everything in this nature
is beautiful in its own way,
you mess with its stature
its beauty fades away.

every creature in this world
are wonderful creations of God.
every life he has pearled
so he, has given them tests to overcome, the Lord.

they are to overcome
these trials on their own,
to realize their strengths, some
fight and some are gone."

I back away
because I know
it'll find it's way
from the seeds it sow.
