A recap of last night's Toronto/Detroit game.
The Toronto Maple Leafs simply outplayed the Detroit Red Wing last night in a 6-0 shut out win.

"I really liked how we started in the game," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe after the game.

1:04 into the game, Travis Dermott scored to put the Leafs ahead 1-0.

1:20 later, Tyson Barrie scored.

Leaf's captain, John Tavares, scored at 9:48.

After Tavares scored the goal, Red Wing's goalie, Jim Howard, was injured and went straight to the dressing room.

A really ill Jonathan Bernier had to take over in net.

William Nylander made it 4-0 Leafs 1:03 into the second period.

Andreas Johansson scored back to back goals at 3:34 and 7:07.

There was no scoring in the third period.

Johnsson had three points last night.

Morgan Rielly and Ilya Mikheyev had two assists.

Toronto plays the Buffalo Sabres tomorrow.
