Ingredients for a poem

My poems are written anytime.
I could be in my red Cadillac,
or drinking Pinot Grigio wine.

An idea sprouts,
It starts taking root.
It does not matter,
I am a fish hooked.

I write and write,
Until it makes some sense.
Dropping letters in my soup;
Seasonings into my sentence.

Metaphors are mixed,
A simile stirred too.
A recipe well cooked,
Tasty and good.

Couplets I add with,
My stanzas slightly spiced.
This poem stewing,
Is really mine.

Acrostic crafted,
Round delay drafted.
I enjoy tasting,
My first triolet.

Like God the Creator
The Painter of our skies;
I am the baker
Of my metrical rhymes.

My poems are written anytime.
I could be up past midnight,
Cooking often times.
