A woman of war writing about her love who at war, depicting her character tainted from war
Woman of War

I am a woman of war
Amongst vagabonds
Wide-eyed wanderer
A single star voyager
No more calm surrender
A restless warrior
Where is my war-torn lover?
I’m not the woman they think I am
My yellow brick road is black
My submarine don’t sink
The witch broke my wardrobe
And the lion isn’t courageous
I am a woman of war
The round table has just one seat
My steed moves with grace
And fire in its hoofs
I ride amongst the quicksand
With clouds in my eyes
I’m not the woman they think I am
Their rose tint blurs
And I wonder,
Where is my war-torn lover?
