A recap of last night's Colorado/Toronto game.
Colorado Avalanche's goalie, Philipp Grubauer practically stoned the Toronto Maple Leafs last night.

Grubauer stopped 38 shots in a 3-1 Avalanche win.

Again, there was no scoring in the first period.

Nathan McKinnon scored on the power play at 10:52 of the second period.

Zach Hyman tied the game at 12:42.

Valeri Nichuskin put the Avs. up 2-1 with a shorthanded goal at 6:40 of the third period.

With the extra attacker, the Leafs frantically tried to tie the game, but Grubauer stood his ground.

Joonas Donskoi sealed the deal for Colorado with an empty netter at 18:41.

Despite the loss, Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe was pleased with his team's performance.

"I thought we stayed in the game all the way through it," said Keefe at the post game press conference.

McKinnon had a two point night.

Toronto is off for two days before headed to St. Louis on Saturday to take on the Blues.
