It’s a new year, a clean page,
A white canvas, an empty stage,
Step out boldly, live your life well,
Be a friend to fellow travellers, in kindness excel,
Your road may be rocky, with trials hard to bear,
But this time next year you’ll have stories to share.
Be wise, be careful, be compassionate, be true,
Farewell my child, make us proud of you.
