A poem where spirit took her on a visionary insight into why they will never be together.
The Mastermind

Quote: "His master plan was built with thorns and lies, that marked the beginning of his demise" ~ The T Lady

I asked
They showed me a pathway of leaves
Bared feet sunk amongst its comfort
Each step their energy, I received

I walked
And the sunlight surrendered
The archway marked the end
A doorway of their intention
And I looked above that mountain edge
And spirit lined in succession

I sat
Beside that waters edge
And laced my face with its insight
And up on top that rock stone ledge
Stood a man, sage and stylite
He pointed above to the spirits
And filled my soul with belonging
And once again, I felt fearless
As they marked a dawn just beginning

Into the pool, I submerged
And rose again reborn
Upon the cliff they showed me, him
And told the truth, I mourned
For his heart is pure, but cannot be
Just for me to hold
His solemn vow, unto her
Is built on solid gold

Discoveries, clear the mind to see
What they were showing me
His love is never-ending
Roots feed, their old oak tree
For he wishes for my love so deep
And feels the bond connected
But will not take an unknown leap
For all that his protected

And it’s clear to why it’s inescapable
A simple man, unrefined
And I am irreplaceable
And he is a mastermind
For all the fun that we begun
Our pages, lots unwritten
I wish I didn’t walk alone
But all that was

(This was written a fair while ago. It's about a man who encouraged me to fall in love with him and promoted himself as single but turned out he was married and even with that grenade blowing up in my face, the heart kept loving him. A cruel man.)
