Letting pain die for sanity
|I poor the pills out.
Each one a bullet to kill the pain.
I face the day clean.
Just to bury us.
I need to finally put us in the ground.
You are no longer mine to hold.
So the last right be read.
So I may live.
Cut part of me out.
Lay it in the ground.
The fall never promised a landing so hard.
Or a fall so far.
Rest in peace.
I will visit this grave from time to time.
Until one day I forget where you are buried.
Live in heaven in my mind.
In the arms you are now in.
May they hold you better than I did.
Longer then I could.
And warmer than the sun.
