The corpse melted
Like wax to finger
Crackled like pork
But the figure lingered

To watch the eyes melt
Down the cheeks
Blackening, like goo
Bodily fluids leak

And for a moment
Catch flame
And sparkle
Just the same

As the diamond she wore.
