A poem about Sandy Hook.
Mommy and Daddy,
I’m sorry I was not able
To come home today;
A very disturbed man
Came to our school
And took my life away.
Do not let my death be in vain;
Let it be the beginning of a better
Tomorrow in which mankind will
Be able to love and trust again.

Although my life on earth was short,
I have accomplished more in
My death than a thousand lifetimes.
I know, when you spoke to the masses,
You told them how much I loved life and what
A positive impact I made on everyone
That met me; now everyone
Knows what wonderful,
Loving and thoughtful parents you are;
What a positive impact you have made
On everyone that has met you.
On that sorrowful morning,
The dark shadow of death wrapped
It's cloak around all those I love.

Mommy, and Daddy,
This is just the beginning
Not the end.
Today, the world at large,
Has wrapped their arms
Around you,
Even our gracious and loving
God above.
Pray that only good may come
From my untimely demise.
So other children’s dreams
And aspirations will be realized
And this will become a better
And a safer world in which to live.

Thank you Mommy and Daddy
