The proof remains.
Lighting a fire;
yet, the proof remains -
in memories -
footsteps along the way.

Taking away everyone's eyes;
still, they see the truth.
How can life be erased
when so many testify.

Acrid smoke fills the air
along with cries and screams.
Attempting to destroy a people
ends with self destruction.

Bodies crumble to dust
but never the soul.
No person is ever gone,
flying into eternity.
