Strawberries want your vote.
Being connected to a vine -
theirs – not mine.
A vine of my own
would feel at home.

Connections matter – yes,
as much as soft flesh,
and a perfect redish color
would bring much honor.

We also need a defense strategy
to keep away the enemy.
I'm called a strawberry;
I prefer Anne Marie.

I plan to stretch my roots,
sending vines as it suits
all across the land and sea
until the world is full of me.

My idea to gain power
will never sour;
I organize the vines,
and we go forth with signs.

Marching down the street,
greeting everyone we meet.
Vote for the strawberry plan;
we ask of woman and man.

Strawberries take the day;
now, they have the final say.
The dawn of a new day has come,
and now it's time to have some fun.

prompt: Would you rather be a human with strawberry thoughts or a strawberry with human thoughts? What would you do with your choice? Write from the perspective of one.
