Nikolaj Ehlers put Winnipeg up 1-0 at 4:00 of the first period.
Auston Matthews scored his 30th goal of the season 56 seconds later to tie the game.
Mason Appleton put Winnipeg ahead again with a short hander goal at 18:00.
Dmytro Timashov tied the game at 6:00 of the second period.
Mark Scheitele put the Jets ahead 3-2 at 11:45.
With the extra attacker, Matthews scored the tying goal with a wicked slap shot from the point at 19:46.
There was no scoring in overtime, however, both teams had their chances.
Toronto is off for three days before heading to Florida to face the Panthers on Sunday night.
