How much does it hurt?
“How much does it hurt
on a scale of one to ten?”
I felt the pain subside
then hit me once again.

I said it comes and goes;
it never stays the same.
Sometimes it isn’t bad
and then I go insane.

He grabbed me once again
and pulled my arm way back.
I stifled a low moan
as he took up the attack.

That PT is a bitch.
I couldn’t take much more.
I should have stayed in bed
and done without the cure.

“Nine, nine, it feels like nine!
Or maybe it’s a ten.
I give up; I’ve had enough.
Just make the torture end.”

He laughed and let me go.
“That’ll do it for today.”
He said he’d see me next time.
I smiled and went my way.

Not if I see you first.
