“Angie, I need a favor.”
Angie whipped on the light and grabbed her phone, yelling, “Stay away from me!” then, “Who are you?”
Standing next to her bed was a tall white rabbit, standing upright, with a very apologetic look on her face.
‘I must be dreaming,’ Angie thought. Suddenly realizing it, excitedly. “Who are you?” she asked.
“My name is Priscilla. I live here,” the white rabbit said.
“I live here!” Angie said.
“I know. But you live in people world and I live in magic world.”
“You live here? In my apartment?”
“That’s the way it works. Since we live in different dimensions we use your homes rather than build our own...”
“So, you live in my apartment ‘sometimes?’”
“Well, I’ve actually lived with you, since you were born. I’ll probably live with you your whole life. We tend to live a lot longer than humans...”
“Huh, why don’t we know this?”
“Well, we normally just watch over our host. People are leery of us. But, I dropped a magic coin down that grate in the kitchen and can’t get it out. I hoped you could help me.”
“Yes, you have those little fingers, and those amazing thumbs! I wish I had thumbs!”
“How about this... I’ll get it out, if you help me in my life, you know, since you’re living here anyway...”
“Wow, nobody ever wanted me around before. Wow, I’m so excited!!”
They made the deal. Angie retrieved the coin. Then Priscilla promptly disappeared saying “I’ll be back!”
Angie woke up. She was delighted about having such a great dream, until about ten thirty when Priscilla popped back, “I’m ready! What are we gonna do first!”
Angie lived to be ninety-two years old. Priscilla loved every moment of it, Angie did not...
