contest entry that focuses on certain words
If I heard it spoken three hundred times, I heard it more than that. People were always saying that; at least, there were a few in our group that did. I mean, considering what we do for a living, it is part and parcel that we must “go out there” among the natives.

Julie seemed to be the one who was always screaming these words. I mean, what was she thinking? It is part and parcel of what we do, of what we enjoy. Well, to be honest, Julie was known as the “hyper one.” She was always saying, “Now don’t do this but you can do that.”
Many behind her back called her the “timid one.” She never seemed to want to “get out of the box.” And so, she continued her harping that night. I think it was around seven when she began her monologue.

“Well, you guys can go out there if you want, but I think I will just stay here. You all have much more to do than I have. So, go on ahead, if you want. Besides, no one appreciates what we do. Many snicker behind our backs on what we do.”
Everyone in the back room listened to what she had to say but we were determined to go out there and do our thing. We were not going to let this tell us what to do.

We all put our gear on and were prepared to do what we had to do. We were not worried about the consequences; we just wanted to be brave and get it over with. Before we faced the consequences, we heard her scream, “Don’t go out there!”
As we walked out on to the stage, we heard voices say, “Here comes the cast of Brigadoon!”
