Written for "Love is in the air" contest against my wishes for Mrs. Tina Stone
When life was at its most difficult
and I cashed in all I had,
and when I asked the Lord for an obedient dog
He laughed,
And gave me you-

You were so thin it was pitiful
you werent onery, you were just plain bad
but I was so glad
the Lord gave me you-

When my life seemed to be an overcast
you were sunlight at midnight,
I thought about you all day
and couldnt wait to see your puppy face
I was glad
the Lord gave me the best shadow I ever had...

You ate everything I owned, and peed on everything that didnt move
but at eight when I got home,
you were at the door and didnt move...

So when I asked the Lord for a dog I WANTED,
Im so glad he laughed,
because He knew
I NEEDED you...
