The original 'Snow' poem about an ice boy and human girl, when it isn't stated.
|How lovely is the snow on a Christmas Day-
Beguiling is the snow in a cold, cold way.
How I wish I could go outside with you to play
'Til I want to sit beside a fire, I can't stay...
Mommy told me "No," but she let me be with you
'til the sun slumbers, my heart and soul on cue
the flame in me weakens, my stay here is due.
'Tis farewell for now, I bid you adieu.
As in my wake strengthens the red ball of fire
as I felt the warmth in my insatiable hands.
As in my wake, it is you that I desire.
As in my sight, I see you not in the lands.
Fleeting memories go by this Christmas Day.
Lovely is Winter bleak in a mellow way.
