A recap of last night's Toronto/Florida game.
Despite losing 3-1 to the Florida Panthers last night in the first period, the Toronto Maple Leafs battled back to win 5-3.

This was a huge win as it puts the Leafs ahead four points over Florida in the standings.

"We just responded well throughout the game," said Leafs head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the post game press conference.

Mark Pysyk put the Panthers ahead 1-0 at 2:23 of the first period.

A little over a minute later, Zach Hyman tied the game.

Mike Hoffman put Florida ahead again at 7:25.

Then, Noel Accaiari scored at 12:36.

It looked as if the Leafs were going to lose another game to the Panthers.

Toronto, however, battled back in the first to tie the game with goals by Kasperi Kapanen and Auston Matthews.

Although, the Leafs had their chances, there was no scoring in the second period.

William Nylander scored to put the Leafs ahead 4-3 9:00 into the third period.

Justin Holl put the game on ice by scoring a empty netter from the opposite end of the rink at 19:39.

Matthews, Hyman, and Holl all had two points last night.

Florida's Keith Yandle had two assists.

Toronto hosts the Vancouver Canucks tomorrow night.
