A love poem I wrote for my hubby
Where love lies still
in the misty morning hours,
his kiss I feel
gentle and dear
sweet lover's lips,
gentle butterflies
fluttering
on my face, over my ear
not yet awake
still in Dream's languid arms
he comes to me
precious, sweet
eternal
Where love grows strong
beating fast,
beating long,
in his arms' embrace
I am whole
I am woman
I feel I belong
Where Love is Eternal
I know this truth
my life was only life
till he came along
My heart longed and yearned
With him, Love is just is;
not something bought;
not something earned.
Where love lies still
in the midnight hours
I whisper
I pray
may Love be as perfect tomorrow
as it had been today
embers bright
warmest night
Love so pure
sweetest
dearest...
I kiss him on his brow
gently, gently now
as dreams rush to shore
I whisper softly:
"I love you"...
just once more.
