This is to...

She who understood the angst of growing up and the angels that stood within,

the girl who saw the light in the whispering of the night,

the daughter who held the fading embers in her hands and let them fly,

the sister who’s childhood went by in a blur, per the years that dried,

the wife who brought three into the world, safe in the land of the free,

the woman who taught us the words we need to know in an effort to grow,

And the doctor and mother who shall heal the world, now cue the adieu.
