A poem about feeling fear
Fear

The gates open,
So do the doors,
An open-world,
An open book.

When the walls slip down,
Fear for the worst is in my mind,
For the moment might end,
And you might run.

You could hate what you find,
Wishing to run and hide,
The further you go,
The more you see.

A world of my own,
Hidden deep in my mind,
The world I see,
The way I wish to be.

When things change,
The walls build-up,
Fear of being hurt,
A fear to fall.

Though life is short,
And people make me wish to abort,
Onward I go,
Where I never really know.
