The pain of a new day.
I hide behind these darkened curtains
looking out at a world filled with light
watching as the people come and go on their way
taking care of their needs every single day.

Four walls and a roof make a home -
for me, they are my tomb
poisoned blood attacking within
Snow White in her glass encasement.

Heartbroken and jealous I remain in this cage
as the world just passes me by
darkness falls as I sit there watching
it's another day that I've survived
