A mono-rhyming poem about trying to get back to sleep
Trying to get back to sleep
it's 3 am, I could just weep
outside, birds say "cheep cheep"
down the road I hear a beep
it's probably a jeep
my thoughts are in a heap
the coming dawn does creep
I try to count some sheep
but I'm not little bo peep
how much longer will I keep
pondering things I reap
I wish my thoughts would leap
out of my mind and I would seep
into dreamland, and sink so deep.
