A poem about the tormented mind of a young man who feels old.
Walk through

The long hallways,

Where feelings break

And cellars quake

Along the broken symmetry

Of his old and frail heart.

Walk through

What youth

Deemed to relive,

And never forgive.

Because, all for hands to sift

Is the burned images

Of something not yet gained

For the two hearts, becoming one.

Like love never struck a match

To light the torches

In the hallways of something always

To play him messages

That do not fade

From the shade.
