At times we can be judgemental, but what if instead of judging others we stopped to think
What if you were the beggar,
living in the streets?
Constantly looking
for food to eat.
In need of shelter.
Compassion.
Hope.

What if yours was the daughter,
who had been abused?
A simple relationship
and now she's being used.
She just wanted love.
Attention.
Acceptance.

What if yours was the son,
who decided to end his life?
Although he was young
he was tired of pain and strife.
He was searching for peace.
Understanding.
Guidance.

What if yours was the family,
whose house was burned down?
One memorable night with
unforgettable sights and sounds.
You all just need help.
Comfort.
Support.

What if you were them,
and they where you?
How would you deal?
What would you do?

Are we really that different?
Don't we need the same things?
Love, attention, peace,
and support to spread our wings.
