a short poem about responsibility
Only caring can complicate.
Blasé, easy to understand.
Walk in the shoes of another?
Less a woman and least a man.
Being involved is destructive.
Delusion is too simplified.
A child can learn to read and write.
But, to leave a child to decide?
This game is not played to a draw.
Winners and losers are chosen.
The future is the past once more.
Fiction and fact interwoven.
All was meant for entertainment.
Murder and mayhem and laughter.
Rainbows and unicorns delight.
Who will be cleaning up after?
Who stands to the right and who left?
Who digs deep and carries the day?
Who fights on, survives, and who wept?
Whose body got carried away?
