Humour, wit or sarcasm in the novel I am writing.
Is it possible to have humor or be witty in fiction that the main character portrays that includes crime, tragedy, escape. The below example from the main character working on assignment on property for her crime. Is below humorous or just witty or sarcastic.

An example from my writing - Although a lot can not be said for the smells coming from the animals abode. Each in turn got to know me as I became their primary caregiver of food, even the rambunctious chook presented herself in a more placid manner. Guess she knew not toeing the line meant longer in getting the afternoon meal.

Also in escaping in men's clothing as she was expected to wed she says, is this sarcastic or wit or humor below -

Surely they were not looking for me all night and now during the dawn of the day like an animal being hunted.
