A love poem

Prompt: Stop and Stare: Create a poem or story about something you could watch forever.

Blood pounding in my ears
My brain blazing with thoughts
Hands trembling with joy
Eyes scooping in the sight
I watch you breathing as you sleep.

Positive thoughts and prayers rising up
Statues chiseling on stone
Totems grinning on a pole
You capture my thoughts in your hands
I protect you as you sleep.
