Days of Future Past (146 words = 350-204)
Tuesday. Yes, it's Tuesday, and the walk home was pleasant. The weather has been cooperating for a stretch of days. How kind. I look up and see a gull soar in the sky. Oh, to fly. But I hate planes. Once as a child we pasted on wings to flop around the yard, careen and crash. That was a Tuesday too. Odd that I remember. It's as if everything around me reflects my thoughts. A minaret reminds me of a church steeple in the village where I grew up. And that cat sleeping under a cypress, my first kitten.

I look in the mirror and see gathering lines, the circles of gloom under my eyes suggest it's time for another nap.

As a child I'd refuse to nap, sigh... It's time to let go of childhood memories that plague me today. Better to lay down.

Part I: Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)

[Instrumental Intro]

[Chorus]
Tuesday afternoon
I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way
It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away
Something, calls to me
The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh

[Instrumental Bridge]

[Verse 1]
I'm looking at myself reflections of my mind
It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind
So gently swaying through the fairyland of love
If you'll just come with me you'll see the beauty of
Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon

[Chorus]
Tuesday, afternoon
I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way
It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away
Something, calls to me
The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why
Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh
