The Devil walked the earth alone.
The Devils Walking Stick

With cloven hooves he walked the earth alone.
Around the world he lived where lava flow,
and then forsaken place he came to own.
Within the depths of cave his seed to throw.
What did not grow was eaten by the crows.
Was under heel all creatures crushed to bone,
by waves of demons forming in a row.
With battle horn he loudly cried out tone.
All those who fought before him turned to stone,
and even poison plants were getting sick.
Then finally he took time to build his throne.
Created gardens smokey, vile and thick.
His prize a thorny tree with vicious prick,
and there he called it, "Devils Walking Stick."
