Love hurts.
Walking Away
by Noah E. Johnson

She’s walking away
I watch her silhouette
disappear
like a sailor lost at sea

The streetlights flicker
and I realize
I am alone
in the cold
again

She’s just like everyone else
The ones I really thought I loved
never seem to stick
I’m never good enough

This is my life;
I’m either going to be
too much for you, or
not enough.
