|Toronto Blue Jay's pitcher, Hyun-Jin Ryu found his groove last night in a huge way as his team defeated the Atlanta Braves 2-1 in a real nail biter.
Ryu went five innings, giving up a hit, no earned runs, three walks and struck out eight batters.
Toronto got on the scoreboard first at the top of the second inning when Vladmir Guerrero Jr. scored on a sacrifice fly by Danny Jansen.
Cavan Biggio, who has been struggling at the plate lately, singled in Bo Bichette at the top of the fifth inning.
Adam Duvall brought the Braves back into the game in the bottom of the seventh inning with a solo home run.
Thankfully, the Jays held on in the final two innings to win the game.
Bichette went two for four at the plate.
Duvall went two for three and had a RBI last night.
Brave's starter, Sean Newcomb, went just 4.2 innings, giving up five hits, two earned runs, a walk and struck out four batters.
The Jays hope to win the series tonight.
