Surviving nature...
The winter's past, the rain is gone
Taking with it the chattering of teeth
Leaving behind new buds of life
The open air is fresh, like mint
Gratefully, I consume it's newness
The trees, standing like frosty pillars
Look so ghostly and yet, tranquil; undisturbed
The animals stare out into the grey monotony
Young ones, uncertain of what to do
Tilt their heads in anticipation
Tiny hoof prints tell of a determination;
A long wait is ahead

Then, in all it's glory
The sun shines
Bringing with it
The will to survive
