second poem about coffee created for the monthly poetry topic of contest August 2020
At The Pancake House
By Lisa Noe
Is coffee your pleasure
I ask you missure.
I’ll bring it to you piping hot,
Whether you like it or not.
I bring it with a smile,
You’ll drink it down in a while.
It the best of all the smells,
Except for bacon pray tell.
I’m but a waitress serving coffee
In the Pancake house you see.
We serve breakfast all day long,
They say my coffee is way too strong.
But it’s here where you belong,
Drinking my coffee.
