Boston opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning when Christian Vazquez drove in Xander Bogarts with a single.

Bo Bichette tied the game at the top of the seventh inning when he doubled in Randal Grichuk.

Toronto went ahead at the top of the eighth inning when Lourdes Gurriel Junior scored on a routine ground out by Rowdy Tellez.

Bichette went two for four at the plate and had a RBI.

Jay's pitcher, Chase Anderson, went three innings, giving up a hit, an earned run, two walks, and struck out a batter.

Anthony Bass got his third save of the season.

Boston's starter, Zack Godley, went four innings, giving up three hits, no earned runs, two walks, and struck out three batters.
