The Toronto Blue Jays bats are heating up as the team crushed the Tampa Bay Rays 12-4 last night.

It didn't start out good for the Jays as the Rays jumped went ahead 3-0.

In the bottom of the second inning, Rowdy Tellez hit a two run homer to make it a 3-2 game.

Cavan Biggio tied the game in the fourth inning with a solo home run.

The Rays went up 4-3 at the top of the sixth inning when Willy Adames scored on a sacrifice fly by Hunter Renfroe.

Randal Grichuk tied the game in the bottom of the sixth with a solo home run.

Later in the inning, Bo Bichette hit a three run homer to put Toronto ahead 7-4.

Then, Teoscar Hernandez hit a solo home run.

In the bottom of the eighth inning, Danny Jansen scored on a wild pitch to put the Jays up 9-4.

Later in the eighth, Hernandez hit a three run homer.

Bichette went two for five at the plate and had three RBIs.

Toronto's pitcher, Tanner Roark, went four innings, giving up four hits, three earned runs, four walks, and struck out four batters.

Tampa's Brandon Lowe went two for four at the plate and had three RBIs.

Ray's starter, Trevor Richards, went 4.1 innings, giving up four hits, three earned runs, three walks, and struck out three batters.
