An answer to a musing
|I have often mused upon
what the angels would sound like.
Far from the trumpets or tinkling footfalls of seraphim
(As Poe once imagined)
I fancy them as rock stars. With vocals sans lyrics
and only melodies that free the soul
From the confines of earthly music.
And instead of hearing their voices,
I feel them in their rock operas that convey
every experience of life from the
highs and lows to
lust and love to
excitement and exultation to
pain and pleasure.
Their voices like angels
but not the quiet type.
These are the angels

Listen to one of your favorite songs and
then write a poem directly after based on the feelings and emotions it brought about in you.
Inspired by Pink Floyd’s “Great Gig in the Sky” specifically the version from the live “Pulse” album.
