Brief poem about a family cookout
We come together,
but once a year.
To celebrate our freedom,
With ale and good cheer.

The flames build heat,
soon the grub goes on.
Smells fill our nostrils,
This day will soon be gone.

Not before we toast this party,
and more ale is poured.
We plan for next year cause,
a family's love cannot be ignored.
