In the bottom of the first inning, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. drove in Cavan Biggio and Randal Grichuk to put the Jays ahead 2-0.
Then, Danny Jansen drove in Teoscar Hernandez and Gurriel Jr. with a single.
At the top of the second inning, Mitch Moreland drove in Xander Bogarts with a single.
At the top of the fourth inning, Moreland drove in Bogarts again with a double to make it a 4-2 game.
Then, Jackie Bradley Jr. drove in Moreland with a single.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, Toronto went ahead 6-3 when Vladmir Guerrero Jr. drove in Santiago Espinal and Biggio with a single.
Toronto scored another run in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Boston's Rafael Devers had three RBIs.
Boston's starting pitcher, Kyle Hart, went 3.1 innings, allowing eight hits, six earned runs, three walks, and struck out three batters
