Deciding the next president of the U.S. - a prospect so divine - a poem. |
| A solution of the calendar Of eager marauders: Lay-offs, ravaged children, And a failed economic recovery. A vacancy in the privilege Of that unbridled tweeter; Rendering the mixed-up modesty Of lower taxes And national independence From struggles. Violence rages on Despite the obscure detriment Of involuntary, gut-wrenching, And touching sentiments. Humanity’s purpose Sees the color-blind And God-fearing theories Of democratic surety, And the legitimacy of legality Befalling individuals Who cross the sinful lines of hate... May the cheery sun setting On the God-given freedoms Of our existence Placate those persistent fools, And shoulder the promise Of our amazing worth For the poised and peaceful generations Yet to endure their vocal solidarity And vexing discomfort. |
